Ingeborg Annie Lindahl is known for her large-scale drawings of dramatic nature drawn with chalk. We present her «Sørfjorden – sensing with thoughts» from 2016.
Sørfjord is part of the Hardangerfjord known for its dramatic landscape with mountains, fjords and fruit trees. But in this beautiful place, a serious pollution is hidden in the Sørfjord. The water has a very high concentrations of heavy metals such as lead, mercury, dioxins, cadmium and PCBs from industrial industry in Odda.
Lindahl’s monumental black-and-white chalk drawing focuses on the contrasts of the beautiful landscape – which seems to be completely untouched by human activity – and the underlying serious problems of reckless overuse and pollution that are often ignored by closing our eyes to the problem.
Ingeborg Annie Lindahl (b. 1981, Harstad) holds an MA in art from Bergen Academy of Art and Design, and a BA from Tromsø Art Academy – UiT. At the Nord-Trøndelag Art Museum in Namsos Lindahl presents a large solo exhibition «Collateral Impact» during the period September 7 to November 2.
Welcome to the opening Thursday 17th of October at 7 p.m.
