Kullbingen presents The 2026 MFA Graduation Exhibition KiT

Re Widing

Trøndelag senter for samtidskunst, in collaboration with Kunstakademiet i Trondheim (NTNU), presents the 2026 MFA Graduation Exhibition by the academy’s master’s students at Kullbingen from 23 May to 7 June.

In the exhibition ReWilding, the four newly graduated artists Erlend Elveseveen, Sigurd Fiske Hokstad, Marie E. Preston and Annamária Zemková each present an individual artistic project. Together, the artists explore possible forms of coexistence across species, materials and ecological processes through their works.

Through sensory, site-sensitive and material-based investigations, they examine how biodiversity, self-sustaining ecosystems and more-than-human perspectives can challenge ideas of control, order and development. What might emerge from the ruins of systemic collapse?

Erlend Elveseveen "Svarmm"

In the sound installation Svarmm, Erlend Elveseveen works with “sixty-three computer fans, voltage-controlled, tuned to pitches nobody asked them for.” The fans respond to the heat in the space and create an ever-changing sonic environment. Elveseveen explores connections between sonic, cultural, technical, sensory and economic infrastructures — and how we might find ways to listen through the noise.

Sigurd Fiske Hokstad "Tidevannets Gang, O Gud"

Sigurd Fiske Hokstad presents Tidevannets Gang, O Gud (The Movement of the Tide, O God), a series of woven tapestries made from rags, scraps, used textiles and found materials. The work draws on the movements of the tide, repetition and slowness:

“I weave rags, scraps and remnants together into tapestries… Weaving is slowness, it takes time, it takes energy, it is monotonous, it is meditative.”

Marie E. Preston "Forest for the Trees"

In The Forest for the Trees, Marie E. Preston combines illustration, sculpture and collected natural materials. The project grows out of a practice of being outdoors, noticing, collecting, reflecting and slowing down. Preston describes the work as “a larger walk-through diorama,” where cardboard trees, curtains, branches and hand-drawn forest creatures invite the audience into an ecology of care.

Annamária Zemková "Metamorphosis of Home"

Annamária Zemková presents Metamorphosis of Home, a project exploring the relationship between humans and animals through drawing, poetry and public space. “If the dove is the bringer of peace, what is a pigeon?” Zemková asks. In the work, the pigeon becomes a symbol of belonging, identity and coexistence within the urban landscape.

Venue: Kullbingen Strandveikaia 94, Trondheim — the warehouse building opposite HAVET at Nyhavna.
Free admission.
