What is "Shout Out"?
The project "Shout Out" is a new initiative to open barriers to engagement in the arts and cultural life in Trondheim, by offering more opportunities to realize their own cultural projects.
Trøndelag Center for Contemporary Art provides premises, guidance and promotion – as well as fees and production grants – so that the idea can become a reality. The goal of the project is to lower the threshold for access to art and culture, create meeting places and raise new voices. "Shout Out" is run with support from Trondheim Municipality.
Within this project, you can apply for a separate one-day event: a conversation/artist talk/panel discussion, a workshop, a performance, dance/concert, a reading or a film screening with Q&A, etc. Note: this is not a call for ordinary exhibitions, multi-day projects or pure sales activities.
What do we offer?
Trøndelag Center for Contemporary Art will select up to three projects , which will receive :

- Guidance
- Promotion
- Fee: 5,000 NOK
- Production subsidy: up to 7,500 NOK according to needs and budget ( can cover materials, technical hire, actors, etc.)

The project manager for "Shout Out" is Sofiia Mishchenko. She is newly employed at TSSK through the Arts Council's traineeship scheme to include cultural workers with ethnic minority backgrounds in professional arts and cultural enterprises. Sofiia has a master's degree in journalism, and ten years of experience in communication and marketing. She has worked with several independent media in Ukraine, international brands and non-profit organizations – Youtube, WWF, EU programs, GIZ, East Europe Foundation and the Sports Council in Trondheim. She is a member of Ukraine Aid Operations and the Ukrainian Association in Trondheim. Sofiia has collaborated closely with multicultural environments and partners from 23 countries.
Trøndelag Center for Contemporary Art (TSSK) is a regional artist-run art center. We present exhibitions of crafts and visual arts, and carry out events, projects and art communication to highlight, spread knowledge and initiate professional discourse that reflects the breadth and diversity of artistic practices today. Our communication content is tailored to different visitor groups, developed in collaboration with artists and other professional resources residing in the region. This includes artist meetings, conversations, lectures, workshops and tours, etc. The art center collaborates annually with Den kultulter skolesekken on various educational communication activities for schoolchildren and young people adapted to different age groups, and arranges family workshops and art workshops during the school holidays. The art center shall be an open and inclusive arena for the entire population of Trøndelag and Trondheim.
