Webs Nettsiden Shout Out cover

Are you an artist (20+) with a minority background who lives or works in Trøndelag? Do you work with visual arts and crafts — or creatively with music, performance, dance, film, or animation? Would you like to put on your own event, talk, or workshop to share your art with the public? Apply now to organize a one-day event at Trøndelag Centre for Contemporary Art (TSSK).

Application deadline: Monday, October 20.

What is «Shout Out»?

“Shout Out” is a new initiative opening up Trondheim’s arts and culture scene, giving more people the opportunity to bring their own cultural projects to life.

TSSK provides space, mentoring, publicity, an artist fee, and production support to make your idea a reality. The goal is to increase accessibility to Trondheim’s art- and cultural life, create meeting places, and amplify new voices. “Shout Out” is supported by Trondheim Municipality.

Within this project, you can apply to plan and deliver your own one-day event: a talk/artist talk/panel discussion, a workshop, a performance, a dance or concert, a reading, or a film screening with Q&A, etc. Please note: this is not an open call for standard exhibitions, multi-day projects, or sales-only events.

What we offer

TSSK will select up to three projects, each receiving:

  • Venue in the center of Trondheim
  • Access to our equipment
  • Guidance
  • Promotion support
  • Artist fee: NOK 5,000
  • Production grant: up to NOK 7,500 (to cover materials, technical rental, collaborators, etc.)

Trøndelag Centre for Contemporary Art (TSSK) is a regional artist-run art center. We present exhibitions of contemporary crafts and visual art and host events, projects, and educational activities to highlight, share knowledge about, and initiate critical discourse around the diversity of artistic practices today. Our programs are developed in collaboration with artists and other professionals in the region and tailored to different audiences. This includes artist talks, discussions, lectures, workshops, and guided tours. Each year, TSSK collaborates with “The Cultural Schoolbag” program to offer arts education for children and youth at different levels and organizes family and art workshops during school holidays. Our center aims to be an open and inclusive space for the entire population of Trøndelag and Trondheim.
