Trøndelags -utstillingen 2023

Working with art is about constantly facing choices, which we see as something very valuable. This unique fundamental freedom to choose is evident in this year's 47th edition of the regional Trøndelag Art Exhibition, where it is clear that the artists have maintained a conscious relationship with the selection of materials and techniques in relation to thematic content. This has resulted in artworks that often hold more depth beneath the surface than initially meets the eye, forming compact pieces rich in content.

The execution of the works in this year's Trøndelagsutstillingen leaves very little to chance, as we perceive this meticulous approach as highly valuable. The accompanying catalog offers insight into the artists' thought processes behind their respective artworks that are presented.

This year's jury has consisted of visual artists Shwan Dler Qaradaki (Tegnerforbundet), Daniel Vincent Hansen (TBK), and Line Anda Dalmar (TBK). As one of five regional exhibitions in Norway, the Trøndelagsutstillingen is based on open submission of visual art. Out of 247 artists who applied to participate in this year's exhibition, the jury has selected 27 artworks from 22 artists and one artist duo.
