On Saturday, September 12, Trøndelag Centre for Contemporary Art invites you to a family-friendly drawing workshop with artist Jørgen Sellevold. The workshop takes place from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at Kullbingen in Nyhavna.

What might the Nyhavna of the future look like? The area is home to historic buildings such as Dora, Kullbingen and the buildings along Strandveien. Several of these buildings will be preserved, renovated and given new life.
What might they look like in the future, and what could happen in the spaces around and between the buildings?
In this workshop, both children and adults are invited to draw, think and imagine the future of Nyhavna. Which buildings deserve an upgrade? How could the walls of Kullbingen become more exciting? What kinds of outdoor spaces and meeting places would we like to see? And what would it take for children to thrive and have a natural place at Nyhavna?
Jørgen Sellevold is the newly appointed project manager for street art at Trondheim Municipality. He approaches most projects through play and drawing, creating the framework for a simple, open and enjoyable drop-in workshop.

Together with Jørgen Sellevold, participants can explore ideas related to architecture, art, street art and decoration. Perhaps a building could be given a large mural inspired by the history of the area, or perhaps sculptures could appear on rooftops or art could emerge in unexpected places? How can colours, shapes and artistic expressions transform our experience of the buildings and spaces around us?
The workshop is free and family-friendly, and suitable for both children and adults. Kullbingen is a new venue for experimental cultural projects, and on this day we invite the public to imagine and draw the possibilities for Nyhavna.
