Trøndelag Centre for Contemporary Art (TSSK) invites artists living and working in Norway to apply for exhibition slots for the period 2027–2029.

Deadline December 15, 2025

We are looking for exhibition projects that engage with and address urgent issues of our time, and we encourage artists to apply with projects they are truly passionate about.

We are particularly interested in projects that challenge authoritarian structures and power relations, and that explore the role of art as a free and poetic space for expression. We welcome projects that offer new perspectives on history through experimental analysis, dream of possible futures and utopias, investigate alternative ways of living, or show how art can contribute to creativity, renewal, reconciliation, and reconstruction.

Each year, Trøndelag Centre for Contemporary Art presents around seven high-quality exhibitions in one of Norway’s finest gallery spaces, centrally located in Trondheim. The exhibition program is primarily based on open-call applications from visual artists and craft artists. Professional events are developed in dialogue with the exhibiting artists and form an integral part of each exhibition’s public program.

To provide the best possible conditions for each project, we prioritise solo exhibitions, although other formats are not excluded.

The exhibition program is curated by our artistic advisory board, consisting of artists Inga Skålnæs, Anne Bårdsgård, and Trygve Luktvasslimo, together with Director Carl Martin Rosenkilde Faurby.
