Join us for one, or all three, of the vegan-friendly festival brunches. H2DANCE invites you to Bastard Brunches, a series of conversations with artists and curators of dance and performance. The conversations centre on conviviality as a lens to explore networks, relationships, ecosystems and infrastructures, creating a space to share, reflect, and imagine together.

H2DANCE has curated three discursive brunches where the table becomes a social space for horizontal exchange—where choreography is not only movement, but a way of being together: in unison, in dissidence, in the messiness of trying and failing, shifting and staying.

Join us for an off-score choreography of thought, laughter, failure, and community.

The event is part of BASTARD – Trondheim Internasjonale Scenekunstfestival 2025 and is co-presented by Rosendal Teater, DansiT and Trøndelag senter for samtidskunst.

Tickets can be found here. Limited capacity. "Pay what you can"

THURSDAY 18 SEPTEMBER, 11:30 – 13:30
Bastard Brunch with Chiara Bersani & Giulia Traversi

A conversation on accessibility in the performing arts. How can dance and theatre be made more accessible to audiences with disabilities, and how can more artists with disabilities be invited into our theatres?

Chiara Bersani (IT) is an artist and choreographer. Her work revolves around the idea of the political body, and she has presented her pieces widely across Europe.

Giulia Traversi (IT) is a curator and dramaturg. She works with mediation and audience development and is co-artistic director of the Spazio Kor Theatre in Asti.

FRIDAY 19 SEPTEMBER, 11:30 – 13:30
Bastard Brunch with Iver Findlay & Marit Sandsmark, Christophe Meierhans, Hanna Gillgren and Heidi Rustgaard

This brunch explores community, care, and critique. How can we show up for one another in artistic and curatorial practices? The conversation weaves together questions of ecology, queerness, decolonial perspectives, and post-growth, and considers how artists who also curate can contribute to social transformation.

Findlay//Sandsmark (NO) is an artistic duo working across disciplines with live art, and founders of RIMI/IMIR SceneKunst in Stavanger and (O)utpost Flørli.

Christophe Meierhans (CH) is a performance artist with a background in music. His work examines radical forms of participation, democracy, and ecology, and he is active in the degrowth movement.

Hanna Gillgren (SE) is a choreographer, educator, and co-director of H2DANCE. Her research focuses on voice, movement, and the choreography of hosting.

Heidi Rustgaard (NO) is a dancer, choreographer, and co-director of H2DANCE. She explores queer choreography and co-founded the London festival Fest en Fest.

SATURDAY 20 SEPTEMBER, 11:30 – 13:30
Bastard Brunch with Yewande YoYo Odunubi & Rohan Ayinde

Drawing on their artistic practice, the duo invites participants to a kitchen-table conversation inspired by the Black radical tradition. The audience is invited into a collective reflection on new ways of imagining community and futures—through text, memory, and shared experience.

Yewande YoYo Odunubi (UK) is an artist and producer. She uses improvisation as a method to explore the body’s dreams, present, and possibilities.

Rohan Ayinde (UK) is an interdisciplinary artist and poet. Inspired by Black feminist thought, his work explores space, ideology, and speculative imagination.

i.as.in.we is their collaborative practice—an evolving, cross-media project exploring translation, improvisation, and collective imagination.
